Based in Toronto, Bellwether Technologies (previously Mainstreet Technologies) was founded by a collection of veteran political managers with experience at all levels of government: municipal, provincial, and federal. Our team of associates have over 50 years combined experience in politics, campaigns, communications and public consultation across the political spectrum. We proudly work with businesses, governments, stakeholder groups, researchers and candidates. Our clients benefit from our expertise and state of the art digital communications infrastructure.

Jay Telegdi, President & CEO


Born In Detmold West Germany and raised on a farm in West Gwillimbury ON, has made politics his whole career. A graduate from York University's Glendon College, Jay received a bilingual Honours BA in International Studies and holds a diploma from Seneca College in Business Administration.  Prior to joining Bellwether Technologies, operated his own political campaign consultancy and managed election campaigns across Canada. As a  dual US/Canadian citizen, Jay also served as the founder of Canadians for Obama, a grassroots organization that placed hundreds of Canadian university students in swing states across the United States for the 2012 US Presidential election. Jay has also served as an international elections monitor through CANADEM, Canada's diplomatic reserve, and was deployed to Kiev and Odessa Ukraine, during the 2004 Orange Revolution, and again in 2010 for the Presidential election.  Jay now lives in Fort McMurray, AB. where he works with Indigenous and rural communities helping them advocate for much needed infrastructure projects to improve the quality of life of their residents. Jay is a proud feminist and resident of Fort McMurray. Though almost everything he owned was lost in the devestation of the Fort McMurray fire, Jay has begun to rebuild his life.
